Working With Merge Fields

Merge tags help customize notifications with account, user, or location relevant data

Notifications and Merge Fields

Notifications available to the account differ depending on your subscription and enabled features. All of our notifications support merge fields that can be used to insert dynamic content like acccount, user, or location-specific data into a notification when it's sent.

To use merge tags, navigate to Setings > Notifications. Click the Edit link next to any notification, 

Click on the Body tab to see the notification editor. Position the cursor in the area of the notification that you want to insert a merge field, thencClick on the Merge Tags drop down in the WYSIWYG editor's toolbar to see a list of available merge fields.

To insert a merge tag into an email, place your cursor in the location that you want the merge tag to be inserted, then select the merge tag from the drop down. Available merge fields include any of the following:

Web Lead Thank You

• [firstName] - a lead's first name
• [companyName] - the account name. Ex. "ABC Company"
• [categoryInfo] - the categories selected by a lead via the lead form 
• [dealersInfo] - the location's name and address
• [LocationName] - the location's name
• [LocationAddress1] - the first line of the location's address 
• [LocationAddress2] -  the second line of the location's address 
• [LocationCity]
• [LocationState]
• [LocationPostalCode]
• [LocationPhone]
• [LocationEmail]
• [LocationImageThumbnail]

Lead Import Thank You

• [firstName] - a lead's first name

• [categoryInfo] - the categories selected by a lead via the lead form 
• [companyName] - the account name. Ex. "ABC Company"
• [dealersInfo] - the location's name and address

New Location Welcome

• [companyName] - the account name. Ex. "ABC Company"
• [password] - the system generated password for a user associated with anewly registered location
• [username] - the email/username of a user associated with a newly registered location

New Lead

• [leadInfo] - the lead's name and address
• [updateLeadNowBtn] - Inserts a button that Account Admins can use to log into Bullseye to update the lead
• [updateLeadNowTxt] - inserts a link that Account Admins can use to log into Bullseye to update the lead
• [companyName] - the account name. Ex. "ABC Company"
• [locationName] - the location that the lead was assigned to
• [locationAdminEmail] - the email of the location admin that the lead was assigned to
• [LeadSource] - the source of the lead
• [LocationThirdPartyId] - the ThirdPartyId of the location that the lead was assigned to
• [LocationThumbnailImage] - the location's result thumbnail

Unassigned Lead

• [leadInfo] - the lead's name and address
• [companyName] - the account name. Ex. "ABC Company"

Password Recovery

• [username] - the email of the user who requested the password reset
• [password] - the system generated password for a user associated with a newly registered location
• [companyName] - the account name. Ex. "ABC Company"
• [resetLink] - inserts a link to the password reset page

Event Registration Notification

• [eventName] - the event's name
• [eventLocation] - the event's locations
• [eventDateTimes] - the start and end date and time of the event
• [companyName] - the account name. Ex. "ABC Company"
• [leadInfo] - the lead that registered's name and address

Event Registration Confirmation

• [firstName] - The first name of the lead that registered for the event
• [eventName] - the event's name
• [eventLocation] - the event's locations
• [eventDateTimes] - the start and end date and time of the event
• [companyName] - the account name. Ex. "ABC Company"

Listing Approved

• [name] The name of the user that registered the location
• [locationName] the location's name
• [locationAddress] the location's address
• [companyName] the account name. Ex. "ABC Company”

Invitation to the System

• [username] - the user's email
• [companyName] - the account name. Ex. "ABC Company"
• [AccepInviteLink] - inserts a registration link to activate the user's account
• [FullName] - the first and last name of the user

Bullseye Location Added Notification

• [clientLogoLink] - the account logo
• [companyName] - the account name. Ex. "ABC Company"
• [locationTerm] - the label used for "Location", as configured in the account
• [locationName] - the location's name
• [locationZip] - the location's zip code
• [locationCountry] - the location's country
• [appLoginLink] - inserts a link to the subdomain to log in

Bullseye User Account Activation
